Bespoke details….. new detail on a gentleman’s retainer.

Whenever I’m thinking about new valets or changes to the existing ones, I try to imagine details to suit as many people as possible. So it always surprises me when a bespoke client comes up with a request I just couldn’t see coming.

This was the case earlier in the year when I was asked for a combination trouser bar and clip hanger, I always thought of them as an either/or kind of detail. As soon as I mentioned that to another client they said they were thinking of the same thing. It does give the chance for the valet to be used as a his and hers valet with the clip hangers making it possible to hang a skirt.

On this valet I was asked for a new detail, an extension to the tie/belt bar to make it possible to hang two or more shirts on the valet to give the wearer the choice without having to return to the wardrobe.
